This course will teach you how to test the strength and function of muscles to discover muscle weakness, pathology, and faulty biomechanics. This hour is one of nine. It will focus on the lower extremity muscles, including the Rectus femoris, quadriceps, sartorius, piriformis, gluteus maximus, medial and lateral hamstrings, popliteus, gastrocnemius, soleus.

Dr. Scott Levine demonstrates how to perform and interpret functional tests for these muscles to enable the practitioner to uncover pathologies and faulty biomechanics that often lead to musculoskeletal complaints.

Learning Objectives

Viewers will be able to detect functional abnormalities that can lead or have lead to pathology of the lower extremity. In addition, they will be able to assess the biomechanics of the lower extremity through muscle testing, allowing them to treat complaints in this area more effectively.
